From 6 to 23 January 2022, Christina Foitou presents « Fragments Itinérants » at the Dortoir des Moines in Saint-Benoît, in the Grand Poitiers area.
The exhibition follows human existence through a narrative in two movements. The first part focuses on the conditions experienced by the female body, in its strongest as well as its most fragile states.
The second narrows the gaze, like a photographic lens, onto the hands — whose expressive power alone conveys an entire world of inner states.
All works on view, in medium and large formats, are executed in mixed media on canvas between 2016 and 2021.
The exhibition is curated by Vanessa Souli. Free entry; throughout the exhibition, the artist is present at the Dortoir des Moines every afternoon, including weekends.
